I think I've created little monsters. Several months ago, Bailey began asking for coffee. I started letting her have mine when I was finished with it. She loved it so much that she began begging for her own cup most mornings. So I gave in and would make her a small cup. Now, granted, it is half coffee and half flavored creamer, but it is still coffee.

Not long ago, Brad decided he was brave enough to give it a try. He also fell in love with the rich flavors of java and french vanilla. So now I have successfully, albeit unintentionally, created two new morning caffeine addicts. This is bad.

Last Sunday we bought a gazebo for our deck. I love it because it has already made a huge difference in keeping the deck from turning into an oven in the hot sun. My kids are enamored with it and have eaten virtually every meal out there since we put it up.

This morning it was only about 59 degrees, but they were determined to eat breakfast out there. Jeff stuck his head out the door when he saw Brad all bundled up in his hoodie and asked if it was cold out there.
a
Brad answered, "I'm freezing... but at least I've got a good hot cup of joe!"

Love the coffee story... startin them young, eh? They should move to the NW. They will fit right in!

The gazebo... is this the variety that you find at Target and the like? We got one on Sunday, as well. :)

Garrett and Vivian are coffee lovers too. They get about an ounce of coffee in their 10oz sippy cups and the rest is milk (creamer...bad). Garrett will be half-way through his breakfast and will ask, "Is the coffee ready?" We knew he was an addict when he started asking that. I guess there are far worse things they could be addicted to (to which they could be addicted...whatever).

Vivian also likes to be topless. That's off the coffee subject, but I just think it's funny. Hopefully, the phase will pass before she goes to college.

Love that picture- they look like little adults with their coffee cups! Glad to know I'm not the only one who lets my child drink coffee! Of course, Matthew only likes it when it's cool. I only drink decaf, so I guess that's a good thing for him!

Just following in their grandfather's footsteps....remember, Dad swears he must have had it in his bottle, 'cause he can't remember a time when he wasn't drinking it. I think he turned out all right.

Just don't tell your little addictive personalities that some people like a regular bedtime nightcap....

:O)
